The Role

To form an integral part of the Estates Team, providing an outstanding student experience through working with colleagues to demonstrate measures and improvements of a safe, warm and dry home for our customers and great place to work for our employees.

To oversee and improve the governance of the Estates' compliance processes and ensure that Unite Student's approach to managing our properties is in line with the requirements of the Building Safety Act, advising where change is required.

Support the PQSM in delivering a balanced scorecard for the Estates' team performance. Manage the Estates team's group hub page and monthly communications.

Responsible for the mobilisation process for new 3rd party suppliers, supporting their successful engagement with the regional estate teams, in particular the Estates Performance Managers.

Support process consistency between the regional estates teams, in order for them to deliver one approved, prioritised and integrated plan, that will improve operational efficiency.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Producing Building Safety Case Reports and ensuring compliance data is accurate, accessible, and audit-ready.
  • Supporting the development of estates improvement plans through KPI analysis and performance reporting.
  • Developing, documenting, and embedding Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) procedures and governance standards.
  • Managing third-party contractor mobilisation plans and supporting successful contractor integration.
  • Maintaining estates risk logs and supporting Regional Estates Managers to drive performance improvements.
  • Supporting property disposals, refinancing projects, and the collation of property data.
  • Acting as a champion for the property database, ensuring data integrity and supporting wider business integration.
  • Overseeing the quality of estates data to support compliance, operational delivery, and Building Safety Case Reports.
  • Supporting training and the implementation of new processes, systems, and ways of working.
  • Managing the workload of the Central Planner and helping to standardise maintenance management processes across the estate.

What We're Looking For In You

  • Experience in Estates, Facilities Management, Planning, Project Management, or a similar environment.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, processes, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, with experience supporting Building Safety and operational governance.
  • Experience reviewing performance data, compliance reporting, and operational documentation.
  • Knowledge of CAFM systems and property data management.
  • Ability to develop, document, and improve processes and ways of working.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Proactive and solution-focused, with the confidence to challenge existing practices and drive improvement.
  • Able to work independently, prioritise workloads, and consistently meet deadlines and targets.
  • Committed to maintaining high standards of compliance, quality, and operational performance.
