What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Governance and Quality Lead to provide strategic leadership for quality, patient safety, risk management, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across Imaging Services. This is a unique opportunity to influence governance across Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiotherapy, working within a technologically advanced and rapidly evolving environment that delivers complex diagnostic and therapeutic services.
Reporting into the senior Imaging leadership team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and organisational assurance across some of the most specialised services within the hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Governance and Quality Leadership: The Governance and Quality Lead will hold responsibility for the development, implementation, and continuous enhancement of the integrated governance framework across Imaging Services.
- Expert Advice and Assurance: The post holder will provide expert advice and assurance to senior clinical, operational, and executive leaders, ensuring services remain safe, effective, patient-centred, and compliant with all relevant statutory, regulatory, and professional requirements.
- Quality, Safety, and Audit: The role will lead the quality, safety, audit, risk, and improvement agenda across the division, driving a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Compliance and Regulatory Standards: Leading and maintaining compliance with a range of regulatory and professional standards, including CQC Fundamental Standards, IR(ME)R, IRR17, ARSAC licensing requirements, MHRA guidance, and relevant Royal College recommendations.
- Incident Management and Clinical Audit: Providing expert oversight of governance processes relating to incident management, risk assessment, clinical audit, quality improvement, assurance reporting, and organisational learning.
- QSI Accreditation: Leading preparations for internal and external inspections, accreditation reviews, and regulatory assessments, providing assurance that Imaging Services consistently demonstrate excellence in governance and quality.
- Service Development: Influencing the future development of Imaging Services at Cleveland Clinic London. Working alongside clinical and operational leaders to strengthen governance systems that support service growth, innovation, new technologies, and the continued expansion of specialist diagnostic and cancer services.

Role Requirements:
- Qualifications: Minimally a BSc(Hons) Radiography, DCR(D) Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent required.
- Registration: Current valid Healthcare Professional Council (HCPC) registration required.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrable knowledge of IR(ME)R and IRR17 regulatory frameworks and ARSAC requirements.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to prioritise workload in a complex environment and supervise members of the team, ensuring high quality, safe and effective patient care.
- Experience: Strong understanding of QA, and regulatory frameworks. Extensive experience in service leadership and development. Proven ability to lead complex, high-risk clinical services.
