Governance Business Partner
Governance Business Partner – Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) + a health cash plan saving you over £1,140 a year.
Role Type:
- Permanent
- Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Work Pattern:
- Hybrid: 2 days in office, rest from home.

You’ll shape how governance works across a large, complex organisation. This role places you close to senior teams, Boards and committees, where your work directly impacts decision-making and business growth. Responsibilities
- Support Boards and committees in planning, preparing, and facilitating effective meetings.
- Prepare clear and concise agendas, supporting papers, minutes, and action trackers for decisions.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with executions and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Ensure governance policies, registries, and processes remain current and compliant.
- Oversee audits, returns, and regulatory compliance, maintaining accurate governance documentation.

Key Requirements
- Strong expertise in governance, risk, or compliance (essential).
- Proficiency in supporting Boards, senior committees, or governance-related meetings in a professional manner.
- Excellent writing skills to craft accurate meeting minutes and polished reports.
- Remarkable organisation and multitasking abilities to confidently prioritise workload.
- Approachable way of building relationships while striving to exercise balance with constructive challenge.

Note on Work Structure
