Governance Business Partner

Salary £35,000 - 45,000 per annum dependent upon experience plus a health cash plan saving you over £1140 a year Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw) Newcastle upon Tyne We can’t offer a CoS for this role Home, a place where you belong You’ll shape how governance works across a large, complex organisation. This role puts you close to senior teams, Boards and committees where your work really matters. If you want to move from process to real influence and see your impact across the whole business, this is your next step. What you’ll do

  • Support Boards and committees to plan, prepare and run effective meetings

  • Create clear agendas, papers, minutes and action trackers for decisions

  • Build strong relationships with executives and senior stakeholders across the business

  • Keep governance policies and processes up to date

  • Maintain registers and support audits, returns and regulatory compliance

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of governance, risk or compliance

  • Experience supporting boards or senior meetings professionally and effectively

  • Excellent writing skills to produce clear minutes and reports

  • Strong organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities confidently

  • Confidence to build relationships and challenge constructively

  • We typically work on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in our Newcastle upon Tyne office, with the rest from home
