At Leonardo we believe that strong financial foundations drive bold innovation. We are a dynamic, forward-thinking organization committed to excellence, integrity, and sustainable growth.

Your Impact

At our Yeovil site we are looking for a Governance & Control Financial Accountant to join our team and act as the key finance representative for Quality Systems reviews, internal audit activities and Law 262 compliance.

You will drive a strong culture of financial control, process discipline and continuous improvement across the business by supporting finance transformation initiatives, process improvement programmes and the adoption of digital and AI-enabled solutions in order to enhance financial controls, reporting efficiency and data quality across the finance function.

You will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating internal and external audit requirements
  • Supporting statutory reporting activities
  • Maintaining finance policies and procedures
  • Ensuring financial governance processes remain robust, effective and aligned to business requirements

What you’ll do as Governance & Control Financial Accountant

  • Act as the Finance lead for Quality Systems Reviews, representing the Finance function in governance activities and ensuring all relevant CPRs, CIs, policies and procedures are maintained, reviewed and adhered to across the department.
  • Coordinate the preparation, review and submission of Law 262 narratives in accordance with Group requirements and reporting timetables, ensuring appropriate documentation, evidence and governance standards are maintained.
  • Serve as the primary Finance contact for Internal Audit activities, investigations and reviews.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation and review of information required for External Financial Audits.
  • Support the interpretation and application of accounting standards, Group accounting policies and financial governance requirements to ensure the accurate presentation of financial information.
  • Support the preparation of the UK Statutory Accounts for the Helicopter Division, coordinating the collection, validation and review of information required by the UK Central Finance team.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of financial controls, identifying control weaknesses, process risks and opportunities for improvement, and supporting the implementation of corrective actions where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
