Are you looking to join a growing, values-led organisation with a clear social purpose?

At SettleParadigm, we’re proud to be the largest housing group in the region, managing over 30,000 homes across Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.

Everything we do is about delivering excellent services, high quality homes, neighbourhoods we can be proud of and maximising number of new affordable homes we build. Through our merger we’ve brought together shared values, skills and ambition, so we can build more affordable homes and make an even bigger difference in the communities we serve

If you're ready to grow your career in a supportive, inclusive environment while helping to shape stronger communities, we’d love to welcome you on our journey. Together, we’re building a better future.

We’re looking for a Governance Officer with strong, proven minute-taking experience to join our Governance and Compliance team. This is a key role supporting our Board, Committees and Executive Team, ensuring meetings run smoothly, decisions are recorded accurately and governance processes are followed consistently.

Minute taking is a core requirement for this role. You must be confident in drafting clear and precise minutes for senior audiences. As part of the recruitment process, shortlisted candidates will complete a minute taking task at interview stage.

If you enjoy working with senior leaders, have a passion for good governance and can produce high-quality minutes under pressure, this could be the perfect next step.

About The Role

As Governance Officer, you will provide high-quality governance and company secretarial support across the SettleParadigm Group. You’ll work closely with the Chair, Board Members, Chief Executive, Executive Team and senior colleagues to ensure meetings are well-planned, professionally run and accurately documented.

You will manage your own portfolio of Committee work, support Board and Executive meetings, maintain governance records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. The role blends organisation, communication, problem solving and professional judgement, with minute taking at the heart of what you do.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
