Client Policy Analyst – Governance

This role is a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the governance landscape, specialising in proxy voting across plumbing, research, execution, data, and policy. You will engage directly with proxy filings, voting trends, and strategy formation while collaborating with both internal teams and external clients to shape informed governance insights.
No prior corporate governance experience is required—but if you’re curious, analytical, and eager to learn, this is your place to grow.
Core Responsibilities

Proxy & Governance Analysis:
- Analyze global company filings and proxy statements, assessing corporate governance structures and executive compensation trends.
- Interpret client policy mandates and apply them systematically to upcoming shareholder meetings.
- Contribute to data-driven research projects supporting broader governance analyses.

Trend & Impact Evaluation:
- Use analytical models and tools to identify patterns in proxy voting and governance metrics, enabling quantitative and qualitative assessments.
- Collaborate internally to deliver actionable insights and recommendations for clients.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Key Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Public Policy, Sustainability, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience/script-experience).
- Experience: Preferred but not mandatory:
- 1–2 years in research, proxy voting, data analysis, or capital markets roles.
- Comfort handling large datasets and analytical tools.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong Excel skills, experience with databases.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks in the Americas, with a willingness to expand this knowledge.
- Soft Skills:
- Sharp analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a hunger for continuous learning.
- Thrives in collaborative environments, managing multiple projects with agility.
- Communication:
- Crisp verbal and written articulation of complex topics.
- Ability to deepen complicated governance discussions for diverse audiences.
