Governance, Risk & Compliance Manager

Boston Energy is a trusted partner in the global wind energy sector, supporting clients to deliver clean, sustainable energy solutions. As the renewable energy transition continues, we are committed to operating responsibly, driving continual improvement and embedding effective governance and sustainability across our business.

The Role

We are looking for a Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Manager to lead and further develop our governance, risk, compliance and sustainability frameworks. This is a key role, responsible for helping Boston Energy meet its legal, regulatory, customer and ISO obligations while maintaining high standards of quality, integrity and accountability.

You will have the opportunity to shape responsible business practices, strengthen our Integrated Management System and make a tangible contribution within the renewable energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead governance, risk and compliance activity across the business, ensuring effective policies, frameworks, controls and reporting are in place.
  • Maintain and develop the company risk register, ensuring risks, controls, mitigations and actions are regularly reviewed, updated and reported.
  • Oversee the company’s Integrated Management System and audit programme, ensuring continued compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements, in collaboration with the HSE Manager where appropriate.
  • Monitor, review and report on quality standards, regulatory compliance, customer requirements and relevant industry frameworks.
  • Lead on data protection, supporting compliance with data protection legislation, internal policies and good information governance practices.
  • Support bids, tenders and customer contract reviews by providing clear compliance, governance and risk input.
  • Lead on ESG, driving staff engagement, sustainability reporting and external validation activities such as EcoVadis and Achilles.
  • Manage and support the GRC team, promoting risk awareness, practical mitigation, training and continual improvement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
