Join the Close Brothers Asset Finance (CBAF) Team where you will work closely with the Commissions Manager, and provide administrative and analytical support across the Governance team. The role has a particular focus on the CBAF commission schemes, ensuring payments are managed accurately and in line with internal policies, controls and regulatory requirements.
Working as part of the divisional governance team, our ideal new team member will have previous experience in governance and financial controls oversight, with any experience in commissions management being highly beneficial. Strong MS Excel skills and the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders of all levels is also essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist with commission calculation, validation and reporting
- Assist with control framework design and embedding
- Produce auditable MI for senior and executive stakeholders, including monthly reporting to stakeholders such as Sales, Finance, and Group Reward
- Act as a key interface between Governance, Risk, Finance, Operations and Sales, ensuring incentive design and execution is appropriately controlled, challenged and evidenced
- Prepare packs and minutes for various incentives committees and meetings, including, but not limited to, Sales & Incentives Working Group and Steering Committee
- Deputise for the Commissions Manager if required, and represent Commissions in various meetings and projects
- Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by the Regulatory Bodies are carried out to the standards required.
- Management of risk registers, including actively following up outstanding actions

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE:
- A proven ability to develop strong working relationships with key operational colleagues including senior management, as well as compliance and risk officers
- Some knowledge of risk management with a broad familiarity with Operational and Conduct Risk
- An analytical, methodical and resourceful approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, being self-motivated with excellent time management skills
- An ability to interpret data, adapting and responding to change
- An excellent history of high quality personal performance and a desire to exceed expectations
IT IS NOT ESSENTIAL BUT IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE:
- Knowledge of commissions systems
- Strong level of product (Asset Finance) and technical knowledge
- The ability to troubleshoot common problems
- Experience in an operational based environment preferred
- The ability to liaise with senior business stakeholders up to ExCo level
