Grade 3 Logistics Operative – Forklift Driver
We are looking for a reliable and proactive Logistics Operative to join our Logistics team. In this hands-on role, you’ll operate materials handling equipment (MHE) to move, stack, and count finished goods and materials, supporting smooth operations across the site. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential to meet outload and production deadlines while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
This is a site-based role at our Bicker facility, reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, and working full-time on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (06:00-18:00).
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Always follow health and safety rules to keep yourself and your team safe, especially when using MHE or doing any manual lifting.
- Use MHE safely and efficiently to move materials or finished goods around – whether it’s from storage areas, loading docks, trucks, or elsewhere within logistics.
- Conduct daily maintenance checks on the MHE you operate and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs.
- Keep paperwork up to date, including inventory counts and tracking any stock or materials moved.
- Work closely with warehouse staff, supervisors, and the wider team to keep things running smoothly and make sure orders get fulfilled on time.
- Assist with labelling and booking in process of inbound goods where required before relocating the stock to the relevant storage locations.
- Pick and decant products needed for tempering, load and set up the tempering units, and complete any related paperwork.
- General cleaning and recycling duties around the Warehouses and site ensuring GMP Standards are upheld as well as operating cardboard and film bailers and refuse compactors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
