About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Accountant to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who are looking to build a career in accounting and finance while gaining practical experience in financial reporting, bookkeeping, budgeting, and compliance. You will work closely with experienced finance professionals, supporting day-to-day accounting operations and contributing to accurate financial reporting. No prior professional experience is required—just a strong interest in accounting and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily accounting and bookkeeping activities.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and documentation.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims.
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports.
  • Maintain accurate financial data and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve financial queries.
  • Assist with internal and external audit preparation.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Internship, academic projects, or volunteer experience in accounting or finance.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or SAP.
  • Basic understanding of financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation principles is an advantage.
  • Working towards or planning to pursue professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or CPA.
