Location: Hybrid – Bracknell Type: Full-time, Permanent Commencement Date: TBC

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated Graduate Accountant to join our growing finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across the full finance function within a dynamic and fast-growing business.

Working closely with experienced finance professionals, you will support a variety of accounting and reporting activities while developing a strong foundation in management accounting, financial controls, cash flow management, and statutory reporting. The role offers exposure to the leasing and asset finance industry, alongside structured professional development and long-term career progression opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including journal postings and reconciliations
  • Prepare and produce accurate weekly and monthly management information and financial reports to support business decision-making and performance analysis
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and credit control
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity within accounting systems
  • Support cash flow monitoring and forecasting activities
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and other statutory reporting requirements
  • Support the year-end audit process and provide required documentation
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance function

Candidate Requirements

Recent Graduate (2024–Present):

  • Minimum 2:2 Degree in a relevant subject (preference for business, accounting, maths, or economics)
  • Strong Numeracy Skills: A-level maths Grade B or above (or equivalent qualification)
  • Attention to detail: high level of accuracy when working with financial data, ensuring compliance and minimising errors
  • Communication skills: ability to clearly explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Positive attitude, proactive approach, and willingness to learn

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Internship or placement experience in finance or accounting
  • Understanding of leasing or asset finance concepts
  • Interest in studying towards a professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
