Position Summary

We're looking for a numerate, commercially curious graduate to join our London finance team. This is a broad role designed to give you exposure across Finance, building a strong technical foundation while developing your understanding of the specialty insurance business. You'll work closely with experienced finance professionals across reporting, month-end close, budgeting, and business partnering.

What will your job entail?

What you'll do

  • Help prepare statutory and management reporting
  • Support the month-end close process, including journal preparation, accruals, and prepayments
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and resolving open items
  • Contribute to maintaining robust financial controls and supporting audit requests
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards tracking key financial and operational metrics
  • Help analyse business performance and translate numbers into clear commercial insight
  • Assist with ad hoc analysis to support decision-making across the business

What we're looking for

  • A degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related numerate discipline (2:1 or above preferred)
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data
  • Studying towards or intending to start a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to ask questions
  • Genuine interest in building a career in finance and insurance
