About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate AI Solutions Developer to join our dynamic AI team. As a forward-thinking organisation in the financial services industry, we are committed to leveraging cutting-edge AI technologies, including generative AI, to enhance our operations, improve customer experiences, and drive strategic growth. You will work closely with experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in designing and implementing AI solutions while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and mitigating potential risks.
Role Responsibilities
Learning and Development
- Actively participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance your understanding of AI technologies and their applications in the financial services sector.
- Gain hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered solutions alongside more senior team members.
- Learn and apply data engineering and analysis techniques to prepare and process data for AI model training and deployment.
- Develop proficiency in Python programming and relevant AI/ML libraries.
Support and Collaboration
- Exposure to AI/automation tooling or interest in applying AI to business processes.
- Assist colleagues in the implementation of AI projects, contributing to various stages of the development lifecycle.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and product managers.
- Assist in communicating technical concepts, including those related to generative AI, to non-technical stakeholders.

Compliance and Risk Awareness
- Develop an understanding of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, UK Data Protection Act 2018) and risk management principles.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices in AI development and deployment.
- Stay informed about regulatory developments in the financial services sector concerning AI, specifically guidelines from the PRA, FCA, and the Bank of England.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Recent graduate with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
- Strong academic foundation in AI/ML concepts and techniques.
- Basic proficiency in Python programming or a willingness to learn and develop programming skills quickly.
- A genuine interest in AI and its potential applications in the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and collaborate within a team environment.

Desirable Skills / Experience
- Relevant coursework or projects demonstrating practical experience with AI/ML tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Basic understanding of data protection regulations and ethical considerations in AI development.
