Launch your career in Data, AI and Innovation
Are you a recent graduate with a passion for mathematics, data, AI and solving real business problems?
At EXL, we are looking for ambitious graduates who bring fresh thinking, curiosity and confidence. This is not a traditional graduate programme where you spend months observing. From day one, you will contribute ideas, research emerging trends, work with AI technologies and help shape how we bring innovative Data and AI solutions to market.
If you enjoy presenting ideas, asking questions, challenging conventional thinking and learning quickly, this could be the ideal opportunity.
What you'll be doing
During your first few months, you will build a strong understanding of EXL's Data and AI capabilities, our industries and our clients. As your knowledge grows, you'll begin contributing to innovation initiatives across the business.
As part of your duties, you will be responsible for:
- Learn EXL's Data, AI and Analytics capabilities, solutions and industry expertise.
- Research emerging trends across sectors including Insurance, Retail, Consumer, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Financial Services.
- Identify opportunities to apply successful ideas from one industry into another.
- Use AI tools such as Claude and other GenAI platforms to co-create new concepts, solutions and client propositions.
- Support the development of presentations, thought leadership and client-facing materials.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activity and new technologies.
- Transform research into clear, engaging and visually compelling PowerPoint presentations.
- Help develop innovative concepts that can be presented through internal innovation forums and idea challenges.
- Work closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts to refine and develop new ideas.
- Contribute to projects that help shape EXL's future Data and AI offerings.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
