Job Description
Goal of Position
In this role you will be a crucial link between customers, sales teams, and engineering to ensure the creation of successful specifications, proposal documents, and delivery of technical equipment orders. You will need to take a technical and commercial view to the total viability of an order/enquiry by balancing commercial ambition against our engineering capability and effort.
Responsibilities
- Assess customer applications to understand appropriate product specifications.
- Review incoming orders for correct technical and commercial alignment.
- Prepare accurate proposals, including technical configurations and cost calculations.
- Enter order details into ERP/IT systems and prepare formal order acknowledgments.
- Resolve technical, application-related, or delivery concerns.
- Engage with customers to secure drawing approvals for complex orders.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is created for sales support, manufacturing, testing, and compliance.
- Maintain an organized database of machine drawings and past designs.
- Provide input for design guide updates and suggest improvements.
- Assist in product testing to validate customer requirements are met.
- Participate in technical enquiry meetings to support the sales process.

Essential
- Engineering or technical education.
- Ability to manage high-volume customer interactions and complex sales order processes, ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrable problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills applied confidently at all levels.
- Proficient in using related software, e.g., Microsoft Office Excel to a high level.
