Brett Martin is a firmly established global business, manufacturing an ever-growing range of plastic and building products.
About The Role
In this role, you will report to the Design Manager and be an advocate for the adoption of advanced polycarbonate systems as a modern and innovative construction solution by detailing and appropriate specification of design proposals.
Main Tasks and Duties
- UK/European travel to complete design review and survey of stadia and large scale existing/proposed projects
- Interpreting scheme design/planning drawings and developing buildable proposals incorporating polycarbonate products
- Co-ordination with architects and contractors on the design and drafting of junction details
- Developing specifications, design proposals and required detailing relevant for successful product use
- Use of Revit to understand and interrogate large scale construction projects, develop material specification with junction details, and export quantity take-off.
- Use of Revit to develop accurate detailed product family models, rendered to photo realistic standard with Vray.
- Provision of timely and accurate technical documentation to the internal Brett Martin team
- Evaluation of competitor information, materials, systems and product uses
- Maintaining documentation efficiently and to a high standard of accuracy
- Provide project specific design advice and on-site installation training
- Maintaining familiarity with all aspects of the Brett Martin ranges of products, including relevant legislation, product applications, and good practices in use.
- Assist with other functions of the Technical Service Department as necessary.

Skills Needed
- Graduate in Architectural Technology or a related discipline
- Ability to read and understand detailed construction drawings
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to initiate tasks and manage multiple tasks and priorities
- Adaptable: able to cope with rapidly changing demands.

Desired Criteria
- Associate Membership of CIAT
- Experience using AutoDesk (Autocad, Revit, Inventor, 3DS Max)
- Project detailing
- Knowledge of UK/European building regulations
- Experience of Polycarbonate construction materials
- Innovative skills

- Use of Revit at macro and micro scale
