Graduate / Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Job Opportunity: Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Our client, a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor, is currently seeking a Graduate or Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on the HS2 project in Acton.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within major infrastructure projects, working alongside an experienced commercial team delivering complex groundworks packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the commercial management of groundworks and civil engineering packages
- Supporting subcontract procurement, administration, and payments
- Preparing valuations, variations, and cost reports
- Assisting with cost/value reconciliation and budget monitoring
- Supporting the preparation and agreement of final accounts
- Liaising with project teams, subcontractors, and senior commercial staff

Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline (or currently working towards)
- Some experience within groundworks, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects (placement or post-graduate experience considered)
- Good understanding of commercial processes within construction
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment
