Graduate Building Surveyor (+2) – Job Description
About The Role
The Graduate Building Surveyor (+2) will support the Building Surveying team, working alongside them to deliver expert advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of buildings and sites. This role revolves around delivering comprehensive support across all project stages, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Surveying team to inspect and advise on design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of diverse buildings and sites, including:
- Acquisition surveys
- Condition reports
- Measured surveys
- Defect investigations
- Prepare detailed reports, schedules of work, and works specifications.
- Design and oversee works projects, aligning with recognised building contracts and current technical standards.
- Develop and apply knowledge of appropriate legislation, including:
- Health & Safety regulations
- Party Wall Act
- Building regulations
- Planning laws
- Adhere strictly to the Company’s administrative procedures, personnel policies, and Health & Safety regulations at all times.

The Person
This role is ideal for candidates who demonstrate:
- A BSc or MSc degree in relevant disciplines.
- Hands-on experience in consulting, surveying, architectural or planning practices, with a keen awareness of current statutory requirements and technical standards.
- Deep understanding of:
- CDM Regulations 2015.
- Party Wall & Building Regulations.
- Exceptional ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism.
