About The Role

The Graduate Building Surveyor +2 is a developmental position with the Building Surveying Team, where success will involve working closely with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.

Key Responsibilities

Key duties include:

  • Supporting and assisting the Surveying Team in inspecting and providing professional advice on the design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of all types of buildings and sites.
  • Conducting a range of technical assessments, including, but not limited to:
    • Acquisition surveys
    • Condition reports
    • Measured surveys
    • Defect investigations
  • Preparing and overseeing the production of technical documentation, such as:
    • Reports
    • Schedules of work
    • Works specifications
  • Assisting in the design of repairs, maintenance, or new-build projects, while ensuring compliance with recognised building contracts and current technical standards.
  • Developing and applying knowledge of relevant legislation, including:
    • Health and safety
    • Party Wall
    • Building regulations
    • Planning requirements
  • Adhering strictly to the company’s administrative and personnel procedures, while ensuring compliance with all External Health & Safety Regulations.

About You

We’re seeking candidates who can demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Relevant education: BSc or MSc qualification in an appropriate discipline (e.g. Building Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field).
  • Strong experience or working knowledge of:
    • Consulting practices in engineering, surveying, architecture, and planning
    • Awareness of latest statutory requirements and technical publications
    • CDM Regulations 2015
    • Party Wall legislation
    • Building Regulations
  • Experience in navigating tight deadlines, maintaining professional etiquette, and working effectively under pressure while delivering high-quality results.
