Graduate Building Surveyor (+2) – Role Responsibilities
About the Role
The Graduate Building Surveyor (+2) will support the Building Surveying team in delivering expert guidance on the following:
- Design and construction
- Maintenance, repair, and refurbishment
- All types of buildings and sites
You will be responsible for:
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the surveying team to inspect and advise on the above aspects.
- Conduct various inspections including:
- Acquisition surveys
- Condition reports
- Measured surveys
- Defect investigations
- Prepare reports, schedules of work, and detailed work specifications.
- Oversee project design and execution, adhering to:
- Recognised building contracts
- Current technical standards
- Develop proficiency in relevant legislation, including:
- Health & safety regulations
- Party wall legislation
- Building regulations
- Planning permissions
- Comply with all company administrative procedures, personnel protocols, and Health & Safety requirements.

Key Attributes for the Person (BSc / MSc graduate)
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Experience in consulting engineering, conducting:
- Surveying, architectural, and planning procedures.
- Awareness of the latest statutory requirements and technical resources.
- Familiarity with:
- CDM Regulations 2015
- Party wall legislation
- Building regulations
- Confidence in working under tight deadlines while ensuring precision.
