About the Opportunity
As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are appointing a Graduate Building Surveyor to join our central Leeds office.
In this role, you’ll contribute to real-world projects across sectors including: • Education • Defence • Healthcare • Custodial • Residential • Culture & heritage • Retail • Sports & leisure • Workplace
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day duties will include guidance and decision-making beneath the following core deliverables:
- Supporting the preparation of surveys, designs, reports and contract documentation (including drawings and analyses)
- General project administration for Senior Team Leads to facilitate seamless workflow across assignments
- Project delivery support under Senior guidance, meeting critical deadlines and maintaining quality
- Direct management of small-to-medium projects, ensuring stakeholders receive efficient documentation and protocols
- Attendance and participation in client meetings and presentations as required
- Fieldwork and survey execution (onsite or desk-based) aligned with RICS accreditation standards
- Full compliance with internal Health & Safety requirements and protocols

Ideal Candidate Requirements
The following attributes and qualifications form our baseline:
Degree & Formal Qualification
- RICS-accredited Building Surveying degree:
- A minimum of a 2:1 classification or equivalent (expected/achieved)
Core Skills & Abilities
- Outstanding written and verbal communication for interacting with internal teams and client stakeholders
- Demonstrated collaboration—building strong rapport in fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environments
- Adherence to timelines and deadlines across multiple concurrent tasks
- An insatiable curiosity for continuous learning, spunky proactivity, and “end badly—improve tomorrow” attitude
Progression Mindset
- Career trajectory opened towards achieving MRICS within 3–4 years post-graduation
- “Late starter?” No issue—enthusiasm for professional accreditation motivates us.
Do We Really Need...?
- Prior work experiences or placements in Building Surveying? Desirable—though not mandatory. We value dedication, potential and fit more than past experience.
