The Vacancy
CS2, part of RSK Group, is seeking a Graduate Building Surveyor to join their rapidly growing team on a full-time permanent basis.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for providing a full building surveying service to the clients of the business across a range of sectors, as well as giving support and advice to other members of the Building Surveying Department, including:
- Providing professional building surveying duties in line with the services CS2 offer:
- Building inspections
- Acquisition surveys
- Dilapidations
- Contract administration
- Maintenance and refurbishment projects
- Schedules of condition
- Party wall awards, etc.
- Effectively communicating with both internal and external parties to ensure all information is available for successful project implementation and completion.
- Providing a professional service, including:
- Forming lasting relationships with existing clients
- Managing client relationships
- Working towards completing your **Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) promptly and efficiently
- Attending networking events and client functions as required
- Developing relevant knowledge and skills through regular **Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities
- Maintaining an up-to-date awareness of all necessary legislation affecting the technical aspects of building surveying
- Sharing knowledge and information where appropriate
- Recording CPD in accordance with RICS requirements
- Liaising and attending meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development
- Preparing and submitting relevant administration in a timely and accurate manner, such as:
- Timesheets
- Expenses
- Invoices, etc.
- Adhering to proper procedures relating to:
- The use and care of equipment
- Health and safety policies
- Quality management

Person Specification
Requirements:
- A relevant RICS accredited university degree.
- Membership of RICS (MRICS) (in earlier stages of qualifications, demonstrating commitment or near completion is needed).
- Experience dealing with and providing advice on a wide range of building-related matters.
- Understanding of client needs.
- Commercially aware.
- Ability to prioritise one’s workload.
- Confident communicator.
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Effective negotiating skills.
