Nottingham City Centre | Full time | career growth | Immediate Start
You finish university with knowledge, ideas, and ambition. What often comes next is less clear. Some graduates know they want a career in business but do not know where to start. Others are still figuring it out, looking for something that feels real, not theoretical.
This role is built for both.
Instead of asking you to have everything mapped out, it gives you a starting point inside a growing business where you can test yourself, build commercial awareness, and understand how companies actually scale. You will not be observing from the sidelines. You will be involved in the work that drives growth, learning through experience, and developing skills that apply across any future path in business.
At the same time, this is not a loose or undefined opportunity. Our company is in an active growth phase, with significant investment behind expansion plans and team development. That growth creates space for people who are ready to contribute, learn quickly, and take ownership of their progression.
- Expected first-year earnings between £28,000–£32,000 OTE (Uncapped Earnings)
What the Role Involves
You will join the business development function, working across areas that directly influence performance and growth. The role is structured to give you exposure, but also expectation. You will be trusted to contribute, not just assist.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
