Graduate Business Development & Sales Associate

For the Competitive & Coachable - You have the skills we have the Playbook! Immediate Start / Manchester

Have you finished university and are looking to turn your competitive mindset into a real career? Maybe you've already taken your first step but you're hungry for more opportunity, more growth, and more responsibility.

At Playbook Direct, we believe that the same values that build successful athletes — discipline, drive, teamwork, and a student mentality — are the same ones that build exceptional business leaders.

If you've ever thrived on competition, pushed through setbacks, or celebrated wins with your team — you'll feel right at home here.

About the Role:

As a Graduate Business Development & Sales Associate, you'll join a high-energy, performance-driven environment where training, effort, and mindset are everything. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience across all areas of business growth, from sales to leadership development. You’ll learn the playbook that’s helped us scale fast and deliver real results for some of the UK’s most recognisable brands.

What You’ll Be Doing Day-to-Day:

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation – Just like studying the competition before a big game, you’ll learn to identify and engage with potential customers through targeted face-to-face campaigns at events, in pop-ups, or residential areas.
  • Customer Engagement – Build rapport like a team captain. Represent our clients’ products with energy, professionalism, and a focus on delivering tailored solutions.
  • Sales Execution – Drive results from start to finish. Manage the full sales cycle and hit your personal targets — with uncapped rewards.
  • Campaign Development & Feedback – Use your critical thinking to support strategy development, analyse performance, and feed back key insights to improve results.
  • Team Collaboration – We win together. Work with like-minded individuals who thrive off shared goals, high standards, and pushing one another to be better.
  • Leadership Exposure – As you level up, you'll take on more responsibility — from mentoring new starters to managing small projects and setting the pace for the team.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
