Graduate Buyer Role at GXO
Are you an aspiring graduate looking to build a successful career in Procurement? Do you love identifying opportunities and savvy at negotiating? This isn’t just a Graduate Buyer role; it’s a commercially driven career opportunity, that will give you breadth in growing your own procurement experience.
At GXO, we're looking for a Graduate Buyer to join us in our Northampton Head Office. This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your commercial skills, working alongside experienced professionals while gaining exposure to a diverse indirect spend category.
If you’re ambitious, eager to learn, and excited by the prospect of developing into a future procurement leader within a fast-paced, dynamic environment, then we want to hear from you! This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00. This role is predominately based in Northampton.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:
- Take ownership of a diverse indirect spend portfolio, gaining hands-on experience in commercial decision-making and strategic sourcing
- Collaborate with teams across the business, from Operations and Solutions to Legal and Finance, building strong relationships and helping influence key business decisions
- Get involved in the full journey, from researching markets and running tenders to supplier negotiations and contract management
- Build partnerships with suppliers, helping to drive innovation, improve efficiencies, and deliver great service across the business
- Develop your analytical skills by tracking performance, maintaining key data and reporting, and uncovering opportunities to add value
What You Need to Succeed at GXO:
- A commercially curious individual with a passion for buying, business, or supply chain, eager to develop and grow your own category portfolio
- A natural relationship builder who enjoys collaborating with others and has the confidence to engage with suppliers and stakeholders at all levels
- An innovative thinker who is interested in sustainability and keen to learn how procurement can drive positive business and environmental outcomes
- Degree educated (or due to graduate soon) with a genuine interest in commercial buying or supply chain
