Opportunity for a Graduate Civil Engineer

Join our growing, multidisciplinary team in Cheltenham, GL50 3LH, in September 2026.

Civil Engineers design vital infrastructure to support and maintain sustainable development, the built environment, and the modern world. Our team collaborates across drainage, infrastructure, highway design, in all sectors of development, across the UK, on projects like our recent work designing natural flood management schemes in Gloucestershire.

We are a great place to learn, with a strong team and a diverse portfolio of projects to practice and hone your skills, and support you through Chartership, including close support from a colleague Supervising Civil Engineer to mentor you through an ICE Training Scheme to complete your initial professional development. We operate as integrated designers alongside our colleagues in other disciplines such as Transport and Water Environment, and as a standalone service.

Your day-to-day as a Graduate Civil Engineer with us will include (with the guidance and support of colleagues):

  • Preparing drainage strategies and engineering reports to support planning applications.
  • Preparing technical drawings such as highway designs, drainage and external works designs, ground modelling, S104, S278 and S38 drawings.
  • Obtaining information, such as drawings and utility searches from third parties.
  • Undertaking site visits with colleagues.
  • Following best practice company drawing and design standards and staying abreast of the latest design codes/standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
