The company is an AI-focused business building practical AI-native solutions for clients, with a strong focus on automation, intelligent workflows and applied AI products that solve real business problems.

The business is now looking for a hands-on Graduate Azure AI Engineer / AI Agent Developer to support the delivery of an Azure-based AI agent and RAG workflow, while also helping build internal AI-native automations across commercial, product and operational workflows.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term contract role (August, September & October 2026) suited to a practical Azure AI builder who can configure services, write code, debug issues and improve the quality of AI agent and retrieval-based systems.

The role will be approximately 70% focused on client delivery and 30% focused on internal automation and light web support. The main project will involve building, testing, monitoring and improving an Azure-based AI agent / RAG workflow using Azure AI Search, Cosmos DB, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Application Insights and Azure Monitor.

Alongside this, the contractor will support with Power Automate workflows, AI-native automations and simple TypeScript website edits when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the build and improvement of an AI underwriting assistant / agent using Azure AI tools, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search and Cosmos DB.
  • Help test the AI agent against client datasets and identify ways to improve prompts, retrieval quality, grounding and output reliability.
  • Support RAG workflows, including document indexing, chunking, embeddings, vector or hybrid search and metadata filtering.
  • Assist with debugging agent behaviour, retrieval issues, workflow errors and common AI output problems.
  • Help monitor system performance using tools such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Work safely and responsibly within client-controlled Azure environments.
  • Create concise handover notes and documentation for internal and client teams.
  • Build internal AI-native automations for sales, follow-up, demos, reporting, research and product workflows.
  • Support the creation of Power Automate cloud flows across Microsoft 365, Outlook, SharePoint and Teams.
  • Make simple TypeScript, React or Next.js-style website edits when required, including content updates, links, GitHub commits or pull requests.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
