About The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic graduate or early-career professional seeking their first challenge. The Graduate Commercial Analyst role offers the chance to grow within a dynamic and outgoing Commercial team. We offer a dedicated programme for our graduates designed to help you develop and progress in your role. Over an 18 to 24-month period, you'll follow a structured progression plan that focuses on building your confidence and skillset.
As part of this programme, we provide the opportunity to fund your CIMA qualification, along with pay increments that align with your growth throughout the journey.
Throughout the programme, you can expect to work towards key objectives such as:
- Leading your own projects that have a direct impact on PBT (Profit Before Tax).
- Gaining experience in forecasting and budgeting.
- Improving technical skills in Power BI, Excel, and Power Platforms.
- Presenting your progress to the MD once objectives are achieved.
What We Offer
- Salary: £29,000.00 per annum
- Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
- Start/Finish Time: 9am - 5pm
- Location: AO PLC, Alpha Building, Weston Road, Crewe, Cheshire CW1 6BF
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- Completing cost-benefit analysis
- Supporting the delivery of financial and operational reporting
- Working with department managers to implement and monitor KPIs
- Communicating information with internal and external stakeholders
- Generating reports using a range of IT and database systems
- Supporting the delivery of the monthly forecast and the annual budget process
- Support the team with data manipulation and weekly reporting, providing insights and commentary to key business KPIs

A Few Things About You
The backbone of this role will rely on the ability to work fast-paced to produce analysis & timely reporting mainly in Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical ability and an openness to expand your IT ability over time are our main requirements.
Essential
- Good communication skills
- Deadline driven & the ability to manage your own workload
- Comfortable working within a busy team
- Capable of working with confidential and/or sensitive data
- Experience of working in a professional business environment (This may have been attained during university)
Desirable
- A relevant degree (Business/Finance Ideally)
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills (A knowledge of Sumifs/Pivot tables/Lookups/Conditional Formatting)
- Willing to work towards CIMA Qualification or are already part qualified
- Experience in delivering analysis to senior management/a group of your peers
- Financial or analytical background
