Job Title

Michael Page are actively partnering with a long standing client who are looking for a graduate commercial analyst to join their team in East Leeds on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a driven, forward thinking and inquisitive individual that is a strong communicator and has a passion for data.

Michael Page are actively partnering with a long standing client who are looking for a graduate commercial analyst to join their team in East Leeds on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a driven, forward thinking and inquisitive individual that is a strong communicator and has a passion for data. This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for recent mathematics, economics, finance graduate or a candidate with a STEM background. Description

  • Assist with the monitoring and updating of charges across energy prices, ensuring forecasts are maintained in line with market and industry developments.
  • Support the development and maintenance of price books and bespoke pricing models used by the Commercial team.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor pricing, sharing this with the team to help ensure pricing remains competitive.
  • Analyse data and prepare reports to support decision-making across Commercial, Finance, and Sales teams.
  • Assist with monitoring customer and portfolio performance using established reporting tools
  • Support the maintenance and updating of energy cost assumptions and forecasts.
  • Provide support to Sales teams with contract pricing queries and assist in the preparation of accurate quotes.
  • Produce and maintain regular reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team efficiency and data quality.
  • Assist with system updates and development to ensure pricing and commercial requirements are reflected.
  • Help manage the shared team mailbox, ensuring queries are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Build effective working relationships across the business and with external partners to support delivery of team objectives.

A Successful Graduate Commercial Analyst Should Have

  • Graduate in Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Engineering
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
  • A passion for problem solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel would be beneficial
  • Self starter and consistently motivated
  • An eagerness to learn and develop
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
