Job Description

Overview of Role

We are seeking a Graduate Commercial Surveyor to join our growing team in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate looking to build a career in commercial property, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of projects and working towards professional accreditation. You will support senior surveyors in delivering high-quality advice to clients on a range of commercial property matters.

Responsibilities

  • Valuations: Assist with the preparation of property valuations for a variety of purposes, including secured lending, taxation, and pension matters, while developing an understanding of RICS Red Book standards and valuation methodologies.
  • Rent Reviews & Lease Renewals: Support senior surveyors in undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals, carrying out market research, analysing evidence, and assisting with negotiations on behalf of landlords and tenants.
  • Client Service: Develop strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues, providing a high standard of service while gaining experience in delivering tailored property advice.
  • Compliance & Professional Development: Ensure work is completed in accordance with RICS standards, legal requirements, and industry best practice, while working towards professional competency.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Monitor local property market trends in Cambridge and the wider East Anglia region, undertaking research and analysis to support valuations, agency, and professional advisory work.

Requirements

  • Degree in Real Estate or a related discipline (RICS-accredited preferred)
  • Strong interest in commercial property and the built environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical and organisational abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Full UK driving licence

Core working hours are Monday – Friday 9.00am – 17.30pm.
