Graduate Communications & Marketing Executive

Graduate Communications & Marketing Executive – Australian Healthcare Week

Most entry-level marketing roles keep you on the sidelines assisting. This one gets you stuck in from day one — driving high-volume campaigns for Australia’s largest healthcare event. It's the best kind of deep end: real ownership, real deadlines, and a genuine launchpad for your career. Come ready to hit the ground running.

IQPC is a global leader in B2B events, and Australian Healthcare Week is one of the largest healthcare gatherings in the country, bringing together clinicians, health executives, government, and innovators to tackle the issues shaping the future of care. We’re looking for ambitious graduates and early-career professionals who want to build a fast-paced, commercial career in B2B marketing within the healthcare sector.

About the Role

As a Graduate Communications & Marketing Executive at Australian Healthcare Week, you’ll plan and run the campaigns that fill the event—working across email, digital, content, and social to reach the right audiences at the right time. It’s a rare early-career role: you’ll have real ownership of live campaigns with real deadlines and a direct line between the work you do and the event’s success.

What You’ll Actually Do

From your first months, you’ll be working on live campaigns with real targets. With training and support, you will:

  • Plan and execute multi-channel campaigns (email, digital, social, and content) to drive visitor registrations, leads, and brand awareness for Australian Healthcare Week
  • Write compelling copy for emails, social posts, the event website, and promotional materials that make people want to attend
  • Build and manage a portfolio of media and industry partnerships, including:
    • Identifying and approaching associations, trade publications, and sector bodies
    • Securing promotional support, content sharing, and audience access
    • Extending reach beyond your own channels
  • Manage campaign timelines, coordinating activity across multiple workstreams simultaneously while hitting deadlines
  • Analyse and optimise campaigns by tracking performance, interpreting data, and adjusting strategies to improve results
  • Work closely with the project team to understand the event and communicate its value to the right audiences
  • Manage databases and audience segmentation to ensure the right message reaches the right person at the right time
  • Maintain brand consistency across all event collateral, communications, and digital channels
  • Own your campaigns—your activity, your metrics, your results.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
