Graduate Consultant | Executive Search | Financial Sector | £30k Base + Uncapped Commission

A career in executive search is one of the fastest routes into the heart of the corporate and financial world, and few graduate opportunities offer this level of exposure so early on. From day one you are working directly with senior leaders and decision makers, learning how entire markets and sectors operate, and building a genuine professional network most graduates take years to establish. It is a meritocratic career too: progression and earning potential are driven by results rather than tenure, so ambitious, hard-working graduates can move quickly. Along the way you develop skills in research, commercial thinking, negotiation and relationship management that are valuable well beyond recruitment. For graduates who are curious, resilient and enjoy working with people, it is a genuinely rewarding long-term career choice.

This is a perfect opportunity for a 2025/ 2026 Graduate who is now focused on starting their long term corporate career in September 2026. The role of a graduate consultant is to work with the Executive Teams who recruit for some of the most confidential, highly skilled and niche skill set roles within the finance sector, to help them identify talent and place sought after candidates into their clients' organisations.

To succeed in this role you must be:

  • Confident and well presented
  • Have exceptional research and analysis skills
  • Able to communicate in person with stakeholders at any level
  • Have excellent academics AND extra curricular achievements
  • A strong understanding of what a career in Executive Search involves and be able to articulate why it interests you
  • Based in London or within a 1 hour commute
  • Able to start in September 2026

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
