Junior Content Designer

Sparta Global are hiring a Junior Content Designer to support a public sector content migration and improvement project within a large citizen-facing service.

The role will focus on reviewing and improving letters and supporting content as they are migrated from a legacy system. You will work with Business Analysts, delivery colleagues and more senior content professionals to ensure content is clear, accessible, accurate and written in line with Government Digital Service standards.

This is an opportunity for someone with experience in content creation who is passionate about user-centred design and wants to develop their content design skills within a complex public service environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review existing letters, templates and free-text content held within a legacy system.
  • Improve wording to make content clearer, more concise and easier for users to understand.
  • Ensure content is inclusive, accessible, and written in line with Government Digital Service guidance.
  • Identify potential user issues, content gaps and areas where information could be misunderstood.
  • Develop an understanding of the relevant content management system processes and publishing requirements.
  • Organise and document content to support effective migration, governance and ongoing content lifecycle management.
  • Use content management tools and established processes to prepare, manage and publish content.
  • Work with Business Analysts and the Delivery Manager to progress tickets through the delivery process.
  • Create content drafts, mock-ups and other materials to support review and testing.
  • Use evidence, feedback and user needs to improve content through successive iterations.
  • Clearly explain content recommendations and the reasoning behind design decisions.
  • Support content administration, quality assurance and publishing activities.
  • Contribute to collaborative design sessions and provide constructive feedback to colleagues.
  • Engage with wider content design communities and apply relevant standards, patterns and best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
