Senior Formal Verification Engineer (CPU Team)

Qualcomm Engineers collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to determine the best execution paths for groundbreaking technological solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the design team to:
    • Understand design intent and develop verification plans for end-to-end formal refinement (from architecture to micro-architecture).
    • Create formal verification architectures, test methodologies, and end-to-end formal sign-off environments for Qualcomm CPU components.
  • Drive formal verification best practices, ensuring long-term scalability and correct functionality.
  • PLEAS NOTE: **This role requires 5 days per week onsite at **Qualcomm's Cambridge Office for collaboration and innovation.

Minimum Experience & Qualifications

Education & Background

Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
    • Mathematics
    • Science
    • Engineering (or related field)
    • With courses on computer architecture and expertise in Verilog HDL design or formal methods.
  • OR
  • PhD in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering optional (where prior experience substitutes for formal education).

Additional Requirements

  • Minimum qualifications for experience:

    • Bachelor's degree + 2+ years of experience in:

      • ASIC design
      • Verification
      • Validation
      • Integration (or comparable work experience).
    • **OR Master’s degree + 1+ year of experience in the above fields.

    • **OR PhD in SCience/Engineering *(with no minimum years requirement, though practical expertise must align with the role demands).

  • Experience must demonstrate capability to ensure Qulcomms IP quality goals and full role Anforderungen.

  • Note: Reference to specific years is indicative. Equivalent experience not strictly meeting years but showcasing skills and competencies is strongly accepted.
