Astute’s Power Team is exclusively partnering with a world class steam/air blowing company to recruit a Graduate Design Engineer for its Southeast area.
Role Overview
The strategically important Graduate Design Engineer role comes with a salary of up to £28,000 per annum, car allowance and offers the opportunity to work all over the world.

Responsibilities and Duties
Reporting to the Technical Manager You Will
- Preparing proposals for our services to clients.
- Engineering design including flow calculations, piping design and stress analysis.
- Preparing method statements and risk assessments.
- Planning and specifying equipment requirements for projects.
- Arranging shipping and transportation of SABSCO equipment.
- Supervising our projects on site ensuring that all aspects of the site operation run smoothly.
- On site preparation and maintenance of records of work performed.
- Undertaking field measurements and chemical analysis to determine effectiveness of the cleaning process.

Professional Qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- Ideally be a graduate in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or experience in a similar role in the power or petrochemical industry.
- Ideally have Piping design and stress analysis experience including the use of Caesar 2 software.
- Have experience of working in a dynamic, fast-paced working environment.
- Full Driving Licence
Personal Skills
The Graduate Design Engineer role would suit someone who is:
- Be an excellent communicator
- Be willing to travel for UK and International meetings and site implementation of our projects for periods from 1 day up to 6 weeks with some possible night shifts
- Have a hands-on approach
- Have full right to live and work within the UK and hold a passport as international travel is required
