Description
We are looking for a Graduate Design Technician to join our growing design team at Network Plus. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional with a passion for engineering design to gain hands-on experience within the utilities and infrastructure sector.
You will play a key role in supporting the design process, from site surveys through to the production of detailed drawings, while developing your technical expertise and working closely with experienced engineers and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for someone to:
- Undertake regular site visits and surveys to gather data for detailed designs and as-laid drawings.
- Produce accurate as-laid drawings using AutoCAD, in line with client asset standards and procedures.
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure drawings are delivered to meet agreed KPIs.
- Represent Network Plus at client walk-off meetings.
- Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and general arrangements to support project delivery.
- Prepare private land notice plans in line with client specifications.
- Provide weekly progress updates to the Design/Commercial Manager.
- Support the design team with administrative and technical tasks as required.

Experience and Qualifications
- A degree or HNC/HND in an engineering, design, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- An understanding of basic engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn and train in GNSS/GPS surveying equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Organised, with the ability to manage workload across multiple projects.
