Graduate Engineer

About Fyous

We're a Sheffield-based deep-tech startup rewriting the rules of manufacturing. Our proprietary PolyMorphic Moulding technology, a digitally controlled pin-array system that replaces fixed tooling, sits at the intersection of precision engineering and intelligent manufacturing. It's faster than 3D printing, more flexible than traditional tooling, and entirely our own.

We're backed by world-class investors including Scott Crump, inventor of FDM printing and founder of Stratasys, and are targeting a £100m valuation by 2029.

We operate across multiple sectors; dental, footwear, orthotics, and beyond. If you join Fyous, you’ll be a core part of our high-performing team, not a cog in a machine. You'll be working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, with real freedom and responsibility to make an impact from day one.

Our Culture

At Fyous, culture is not an afterthought - it's a core driver of our success. Everything we do is anchored in three values: Have Integrity, Innovate, and Inspire. In practice, that means owning your outcomes without excuses, challenging assumptions before they become bad decisions, and constantly raising the bar — for yourself, your teammates, and the market. We move fast, we speak plainly, and we expect the same from everyone regardless of experience level.

We actively invest in helping our team grow not just technically, but personally. All employees are encouraged to read from a curated library of books that shape how we work, communicate, and resolve conflict. Titles like Radical Candor by Kim Scott foster a culture where people challenge directly while caring personally. Malcolm Gladwell's Outliers informs how we grow talent and structure work, because we know that environment and opportunity shape excellence as much as ability does.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're committed to building a team that reflects the full breadth of engineering talent. Diverse perspectives make better engineers and better products, and what matters to us is how you think. We believe great companies are built from the inside out, and that starts with how we treat each other every day.

The Role

We're not hiring for a specific skillset. We're hiring for a mindset.

You'll work alongside our engineering team on live machine development; designing, building, experimenting, testing, troubleshooting, and iterating on hardware that doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. We do all of this in house, so the role could have a bias toward any of the following engineering skill sets; mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, software, or product design.

If you're the kind of person who takes things apart to understand how they work, who won't let a problem go until it's actually solved, and who wants to be part of something genuinely new — we want to hear from you.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a pragmatic, hands-on engineer that has a degree in engineering or a related discipline; mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, manufacturing, software, product design or similar. Beyond that, we care far more about how you think than what modules you've taken.
