The Vacancy: Graduate Environmental Consultant (Belfast - Hybrid)
RSK Ireland is excited to invite applications for a Graduate Environmental Consultant role within its Belfast office. This is a full-time (40-hour weekly) position based in the Water and EIA team.
As part of the RSK Group, RSK Ireland provides a broad range of environmental consultancy services, including renewable energy, water, soils, geology, ecology, and biodiversity. You’ll work on a variety of projects—primarily in renewable energy, infrastructure, water, and housing sectors—supported by an experienced team.
About the Role
Successful candidates must hold or be nearing completion of a relevant degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a similar field. Experience is advantageous but not essential, particularly in a dynamic consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to project reporting including:
- Water Framework Directive Reports
- Flood Risk Assessments
- EIA Water, Land, Soils & Geology Chapters
- Conduct site-based fieldwork, such as:
- Groundwater and surface water sampling
- Peat probing
- Constraints mapping
- Oversee fieldwork activities and subcontracting requirements
- Assist in manual and digital project coordination, under senior management
- Prepare health and safety documentation
- Schedule soil/water sampling for analytical testing and manage subcontractor bookings

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s (BSc) degree in one of the following:
- Geoscience
- Geography
- Environmental Science
- Environmental Engineering
- An MSc in a related field (preferable, but not mandatory)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Availability to work on-site and frequently away from home due to project demands
- A full driving licence with access to a vehicle
