The Role
We are looking for a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in London. We are a small specialist team that promotes a culture of learning from each other through our collective experience.
Our expertise in geotechnical engineering encompasses soil investigations, basement evaluations, slope stability reviews, earthworks design, and expert guidance to ensure safe and stable construction projects. We are well known for working on complex and interesting projects across the UK such as basement developments, large earthwork schemes, data centres, tunnel movement assessments and infrastructure projects.
The role will involve:
- Producing professional and technically competent reports and liaison with specialists and clients.
- Preparing ground models and design parameters.
- Analysis of slopes, walls, foundations and other geotechnical structures.
- Providing support in all aspects of project delivery, including client liaison and coordination with colleagues from other disciplines.
- Contributing to the implementation of higher sustainability in our project delivery.
- Occasional site-based work supervising ground investigation and construction.
- Ensure that all work is delivered in accordance with Curtins procedures and policies and to the highest safety, health, and environmental standards.

The Right Fit
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics or other relevant subject. A Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering is preferable but not essential.
- Demonstrable knowledge of engineering geology and geotechnics and the determination to find solutions to problems.
- Able to produce written reports to the highest standard, presenting technical information clearly and concisely.
- Collaborates effectively with team members, clients, and potential clients and demonstrates effective communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a willingness and ability to learn new tasks.
- Health and safety conscious and attentive to best practices.
- A driving license is required for this role because of the travel involved to various sites.
