Graduate Geotechnical / Geoenvironmental Engineer
THE ROLE
My client is a firm of engineering consultants.
They are now seeking a GRADUATE GEOTECHNICAL / GEOENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER to join them in NORTH LONDON.
- You will work on a range of ground investigation projects and more.
- The work will involve both site-based and office-based duties.
- Responsible for specification, operation, and interpretation of:
- Geotechnical investigations
- Geoenvironmental investigations
- Other related assignments
- Good supervision and training will be provided.
THE COMPANY

Geoenvironmental projects (in collaboration with other consultants and firms)

Operates multiple UK offices.

Offers good support and training for ambitious engineers.
THE CANDIDATE
Key Responsibilities and Skills
Required:
- An appropriate qualification in:
- Geotechnical Engineering
- Environmental Science
- or similar
- Alternatively:
- A Master’s degree (MSc) in Geotechnical Engineering or Environmental Science
- Complemented by a Bachelor’s degree (Degree) in Civil Engineering or a relevant field.

You must be keen to join a team that provides training in:
- Field duties including:
- Geoenvironmental investigation
- Machine trial pit excavations
- Borehole drilling supervision
- Infiltration testing
- Ground gas monitoring
- Groundwater sampling
- Researching geological, hydrogeological, historical, topographical, and environmental site information
You should want to learn about:

Foundation recommendations

Advice on ground conditions

Soil infiltration assessments

Contamination assessments and remediation verification

Specifying and supervising ground investigation projects

Experience in planning, specification, supervision, and writing interpretative reports

Additional Requirements
- A full UK driving licence (to travel to project sites as required).
Salary and Benefits
- Salary negotiable based on prior experience, within the range of £24,000–£34,000 — may also vary slightly above/near given range.
