Role: GIS Mapping Coordinator
Location: Bristol (hybrid - 2 days onsite, 3 days remote)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: £13.85/hour
Inside IR35: Umbrella
To support with the delivery of digital map-based solutions to our varied client base. Working to a high level of accuracy, the role focuses on the digitisation and georeferencing of raster data for the production of our client's Utility Search Map product, a composite digital model of utility assets. The role also entails the quality checking of outputs of other members of the team.
Essential Criteria
- Experience using GIS Mapping systems including ArcGIS Pro
- Knowledge of GIS methodologies and principles.
- Good attention to detail.
- Clear, concise communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to identify, analyse and resolve problems.
- Ability to manage time effectively.
- A high level of organisation and professionalism.

Desirable Criteria
- Experience of working in the utility industry, preferably in a service delivery environment.
- Prior experience or knowledge of utilizing technology for process efficiencies.
- Experience in a client facing role.
Responsibilities
- Quality checking of deliverables
- Management of own workloads and raising any challenges to delivering this
- Follow processes closely to digitise utility data accurately
- Processing new orders
- Liaise with other teams/clients/utility companies to resolve issues and build relationships
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase the efficiency & productivity of the team's processes
- Proactively identify opportunities to add value to the product / service we provide to our clients
- To undertake additional ad hoc activities as required
- Supporting other teams within our practice as required
