Role Summary:

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated graduate who is excited about building a career in buying and passionate about food, sustainability and making a positive impact through business. This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the start of their professional journey who is eager to learn, develop new skills, and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced commercial environment.

You don't need previous buying experience to be successful in this role. We're looking for someone with the right mindset: curious, proactive, highly organised, and keen to take ownership of their development. As a Buying Assistant, you'll work closely with experienced buyers and suppliers, supporting the day-to-day management of product ranges while developing a strong understanding of how commercial decisions are made. You'll gain exposure to negotiations, product launches, promotions, supplier management, and category performance, providing a solid foundation for a long-term career in buying.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
