Role Description
As a Graduate Solution Architect within the IM&T Product Fulfilment (PF), you will be supporting several key activities in the IM&T PF Architecture team. You will have the opportunity to engage with multiple stakeholders across the business, determining their requirements, liaising with internal IT stakeholders and advising on IT solutions to meet them, while ensuring alignment with the functional and organisational strategy/roadmap. Key responsibilities include aligning planning processes and IT with the company’s goals, finding the best tech solution among all possible to solve the existing business problems, and describing the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of software to project stakeholders.

Core Duties
- Supporting the demand management meetings to help route demand appropriately to delivery teams and align incoming demand to the functional and overall strategic roadmap.
- Assisting with business analysis with customers and eliciting their requirements.
- Defining features, phases, and solution options in line with customer requirements.
- Producing weekly performance metrics for IM&T management and architecture packs to communicate complexity surrounding customer demand.
- Input to high-level designs to gain quotations from the IT service provider and mobilise IT projects.

Many roles at BAE Systems are subject to both security and export control restrictions. These restrictions mean that factors such as your nationality, any nationalities you may have previously held, and your place of birth can restrict the roles you are eligible to perform within the organisation. All applicants must as a minimum achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard. Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 to 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
Qualification Requirements
You must have obtained, or be predicted to obtain, a minimum 2:2 bachelor’s degree or a pass at master’s level in the following subjects: Computer, Business with IT modules, Software, Systems, Data Science, IM&T, Robotics.
