Anderson Green Ltd is a leading privately owned Building Services Consultancy and we have a permanent vacancy for a new Electrical Building Services Design Engineer based within our Nottingham Office.
This role would suit either a Post Graduate Electrical Engineer or an Apprenticeship trained Electrician wanting to move into a design environment.

The Role
The successful candidate will work alongside our other electrical designers on a wide range of projects across various sectors, delivering services from feasibility through to a detailed and fully coordinated design for installation purposes. RIBA Stages 0 to 5.
The primary focus of the role will be the design of electrical building services such as LV distribution, lighting, small power and fire and security systems.
Support will be provided for design software packages including, Amtech and Relux for the design of LV Distribution and lighting systems respectively.
You will work alongside our electrical and mechanical Design Engineers and Revit Technicians as part of a multi discipline team producing detailed, complex and sustainable building services designs in both a 2D and 3D environment.

Duties Will Include
- Designing, sizing and selecting electrical systems using various calculation software packages
- Implementing sustainable technologies into the electrical design
- Production of three-dimensional models, drawings, specifications and reports
- Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
- Coordinating design with colleagues from other disciplines
- Referring to industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations
- Attend client, design team and project meetings
- Undertake feasibility studies and surveys
Preferred Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in electrical and electronic engineering or equivalent, or apprenticeship trained electrician with City & Guild qualifications
- Confident with Microsoft Office, predominately Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Willingness and ability to use design software, Amtech, Relux, Revit, AutoCAD

Training And Development
Training will be provided ‘in house’ supported by our experienced design engineers. Plus, attendance at Further Educational college as required; HNC, HND, Degree
Support and mentoring will be provided to obtain professional membership (IET & CIBSE)
