Our IT department assists the wider office with technical queries and builds systems and platforms required for the successful maintenance and evolution of the business. We are looking to add a Graduate IT Desktop Support Engineer to this busy team.
Responsibilities
- Assisting in providing a first point of contact for colleagues through our helpdesk ticketing system, Freshservice.
- Providing technical assistance to users with desktop/laptop-related issues, including hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Providing colleagues with general remote support & troubleshooting.
- Daily review, processing and resolution of help desk tickets and service requests.
- Ensure that documentation of procedures and guides is well maintained and updated when required for desktop support and security procedures.
- Performing routine maintenance on desktop systems, including software updates and patching.
- Ensuring that users adhere to security policies and procedures & that devices are compliant.
- Assisting with our remote monitoring dashboard and applying remediation actions as indicated by our processes, other team members, or as required.
- Reviewing scheduled tasks, backup testing, and other automated actions as indicated by processes and other team members.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- An understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide services.
- Strong desire and commitment to continued learning and personal development.
- Be self-motivated to develop a strong understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems.
- Have a supportive nature and good team-playing mentality.
- Be capable of working towards KPIs.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment.

Work Schedule
Hours of work for this role are 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 18:00.
