About Mear Technology

Mear Technology is a growing Managed IT Services provider delivering reliable, responsive, and secure technology solutions to businesses across the UK. We pride ourselves on excellent customer service and building long-term relationships with our clients.

We are an honest, caring organisation looking for like-minded individuals with a curious and empathetic approach to technology. As a small, close-knit team, we do not pigeonhole people into a single role. Instead, we offer broad exposure across the services we provide, including IT support, networking, broadband, telecoms, security, and on-site client work.

Based in Eliburn, Livingston, we work together in the office as a team. We believe learning, collaboration, and professional development are best achieved by working side-by-side and supporting one another.

The Role

We are looking for a Graduate IT Support Technician (Level 1) to join our team and begin their career in IT.

This role goes beyond traditional first-line support. You will be encouraged to take ownership of issues from start to finish, with guidance and support from experienced engineers, allowing you to build confidence, technical skills, and real-world understanding.

This position is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with a strong intention to offer a permanent role to the right candidate, subject to performance and business requirements.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
