About the Role

We are looking for a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer to join our Manufacturing Team. This role will be based at our new purpose-built site at Lancaster Way Business Park, Ely and will be reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary manufacturing team, supporting manufacturing, implementing design changes and developing the production processes used that create the Versius Surgical Robotic System. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop with us in this innovative field.

Responsibilities

Your routine will vary as manufacturing engineering projects progress, from concept development to realisation, including:

  • Providing first-line hands on support to the Production teams;
  • Supporting verification, validation, and risk management activities;
  • Identifying and implementing process improvement activities and product design changes to ensure compliance, continuous improvement, and scale up of Versius manufacture and;
  • Carrying out, under supervision and assistance risk management activities such as Health and Safety Risk assessments and Process FMEA including the implementation and communication of mitigation actions.

We’re a rapidly developing company and as such roles change and evolve. We’d expect you to be willing to turn your hand to anything within the Manufacturing Engineering remit that helps the team deliver its objectives.

This is an onsite role at our Ely site.

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:

  • Ideally you will be recently qualified with a good degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline, or equivalent
  • Naturally you’ll also be a great team player with a strong work ethic and a demonstrable determination to produce high quality results.
  • It is expected that you manage your own projects whilst working in an agile team and that you use your own technical knowledge to create industrial solutions.
