About The Role
At AO, our customers are at the heart of everything we do. Behind every great customer experience is great data, and that's where you come in.
You'll turn data into meaningful insight that helps us make smarter decisions, improve performance, and maximise the return on our marketing investment. Working across digital and offline marketing channels, you'll provide commercial analysis that helps shape strategy, uncover opportunities, and drive business performance.
No two days are the same. From owning regular performance reporting to carrying out deep-dive analysis and solving ad hoc business challenges, you'll play a key role in helping our marketing teams deliver against ambitious targets.
Our people are our superpower, and we’re unstoppable when we’re together! We want your ideas to flow, and what better way to make that happen than being based onsite, 5 days a week, where our culture fuels creativity, collaboration and growth. If a £1 bet in the pub between two friends can become the UK's most trusted electrical retailer, imagine what else can be achieved when we’re together.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing
- Owning and developing reporting across our digital and media marketing channels, tracking key KPIs and sharing actionable insights with marketing and commercial teams.
- Analysing large and complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Providing commercial insight to support marketing decision-making, ensuring activity delivers the best possible return and contributes positively to business performance.
- Translating data into clear recommendations that influence stakeholders across the business.
- Supporting a range of marketing channels and business units with both regular reporting and ad hoc analysis.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
