Marketing Executive
Trainee role | reports to the Group Marketing Director
Location: Moorgate, London
Purpose of role
Support the marketing function in delivering day-to-day marketing activity across Skills Alliance's three brands (Staffing, Executive, Enterprise). The role is split across four areas: internal communications, talent acquisition (TA) marketing, B2B marketing and sales enablement.
This is a trainee role suited to a graduate or early-career marketer with a marketing or business degree, strong commercial and marketing acumen, and practical experience of design software such as Canva or InDesign. Training will be provided across all four areas, with the successful candidate progressively taking full ownership of the role as their ability develops.
Key requirements
- Degree in marketing, business or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Practical experience of design software – Canva or InDesign, experience with capcut would be highly desirable
- Strong written English and a good eye for brand and visual consistency
- Organised, with the ability to manage several concurrent workstreams across four disciplines
- Comfortable learning digital marketing tools, including Mailchimp, Hubspot and ClickDimensions
- Microsoft packages: Word, Excel and PowerPoint

- Adaptable, able to reprioritise as demand shifts between internal comms, TA marketing, B2B marketing and sales enablement

Main responsibilities
Internal marketing and communications
- Internal marketing content creation and email scheduling including internal events promotion, sales incentives, org charts and leaderboards
- Manage the monthly internal comms calendar and distribution list
- Keep the intranet up to date, liaising with each division for relevant content

Marketing for talent acquisition (TA)
- Work with TA to produce a content calendar based on the TA hiring strategy
- Create content including graphics, videos and grabbing marketing materials to help with attraction
- Support DEI initiatives with creative content for internal emails and social promotion
- Provide event marketing and on-site support for Company, TA and DEI events
- Schedule onboarding emails
B2B marketing
- Support the creation of thought-leadership content (blog posts, infographics, carousels, social graphics and similar formats), working to brand guidelines
- Schedule and publish social content across LinkedIn and Instagram, using Hubspot and ClickDimensions scheduling tools
- Deliver digital email campaigns using Hubspot and ClickDimensions
Sales enablement
- Create tailored sales presentations and sales enablement materials aligned to Skills Alliance verticals, using Canva and PowerPoint based on existing templates
- Maintain and update the sales collateral library required for client presentation decks and sales one-pagers
